LitigArt (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is a software-as-a-service platform designed for litigation attorneys. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our services, including the LitigArt PowerPoint Add-in and web portal at app.litigart.com.

2. Information We Collect
Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, law firm name, title, and phone number.
Usage Data: We collect anonymized tool usage events (e.g., number of callouts created per module) to provide time savings analytics and improve the product. We do not collect the content of your legal documents.
Documents Submitted for AI Processing: When you use the Composer feature, brief PDFs or documents you upload are transmitted to OpenAI's API to generate a presentation outline. These documents are not stored by LitigArt beyond the duration of the processing request. Please review OpenAI's Privacy Policy for details on their data handling.
Billing Information: Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your credit card numbers or payment details. Please review Stripe's Privacy Policy for details.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the LitigArt service
- To authenticate your identity and manage your account
- To process payments and manage your subscription
- To generate time savings analytics based on your usage
- To send transactional emails (account confirmation, billing receipts, password resets)
- To respond to support requests and feedback
- To comply with legal obligations
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on Microsoft Azure infrastructure in the United States (Central US region). We use industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel only.
Authentication is handled by Google Firebase Authentication, which provides secure token-based access management.
5. Third-Party Services
LitigArt integrates with the following third-party services:
- Google Firebase — Authentication and identity management
- Microsoft Azure — Cloud infrastructure and storage
- OpenAI — AI-powered Composer feature (brief processing only)
- Stripe — Payment processing and subscription management
- Resend — Transactional email delivery
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account:
- A 30-day grace period applies during which your account can be recovered
- After 30 days, your personal data is permanently deleted within 90 days
- Billing records are retained for 7 years as required by law
- Anonymized usage analytics may be retained indefinitely
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Export your data in a portable format
- Opt out of marketing communications at any time

8. Cookies
LitigArt uses a single session cookie (firebase-token) to maintain your authenticated session. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies.
9. Children's Privacy
LitigArt is designed for legal professionals and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by posting a notice in the app. Continued use of LitigArt after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
